Since October 2008, all rented homes in the UK have also required an Energy Performance Certificate when a new tenant rents the property or when a new lease is created.
Lettings do not require the full Home Information Pack, just the EPC. The EPC is valid for up to 10 years if ownership of the property stays with the same landlord.
