Tudor Edward is all about making the process as simple and painless as possible for our clients. Commercial property can be complex, and often property managers have a lot of different issues that require their time, which is why it is important that you choose the right partner, not just on the basis of price, but service and self-reliance are also vital.
When approached by a department within central government, who had responsibility for a large number of buildings, the combination of these different criteria became critical to who they used for the job. The client, part of the Department for Employment and Education, had a holding of property leases around the UK which through changes in working practices and resource levels had become too large for their needs. As they had lengthy leases on these properties, they needed to make best value of this liability by sub-letting sections of the buildings commercially.
Tudor Edward were approached with the brief of providing a schedule of pricing, along with a detailed breakdown of work involved, dates and times for on-site inspection. This was then distributed throughout the network of building Facilities Management departments and a dialogue could begin.
We drew up a sensible and effective project roadmap to cover all the buildings in the programme, do detailed on-site inspection, liaise with Facilities Managers to glean detail on the complex heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, extract all the necessary data, and produce Energy Performance Certificates for all the buildings swiftly and cost-effectively, and set to work.
These buildings were all large, and some were very hi-tech modern office blocks. With the minimum of fuss, we delivered the programme start to finish in 5 weeks, covering 1,800 miles, measuring, inspecting and certifying 1,000,000 square feet, with direct dialogue and updates with Facilities Management and the client lead. This was all done on-time and on-budget.

We understand a client's priorities and pressures, and work hard to support these and adapt to varying job specification, scale and timescales. Plenty of people are qualified to deliver EPCs, but not all can be trusted to value your priorities and to professionally represent your organisation as if it was their own.
